Sequel to Cornelia Funke's Reckless

Don't know if anyone is still around on this comm, but I thought I would give it a try.

I recently won a giveaway on Cornelia Funke's website for an ARC of Fearless, the sequel to Reckless. For some reason, the publisher sent me 13 copies instead of just one. Then they emailed me and asked me to please find homes for the extra copies. XD I have been trying to offer the book to friends, etc., but I still have several copies left, just sitting in a box in my living room.

I really would like to see the rest of these books go to good homes! I can say after reading it that this book is very, very good, much better than the first one. This series now tops Inkheart as my favorite of Funke's books. I highly recommend it!

Anyway, if you're interested in a copy, you can leave a comment on my DW post with your address (comments are screened), or send me a message here on LJ. (As an FYI, I can only ship within the US—sorry!)

Anyone here who has already seen Inkheart?
In Germany it has been released in the middle of December. I watched it twice. It is different to the book but I really like it.

Paul Bettany is awesome as Dustfinger!

Something new for the german speaking people here. A biography about Cornelia has been released in October. Unfortunately it is only available in german.
I've read half of it so far and it is really interesting how she found her way to writing and what inspires her for her stories.
Another interesting fact are her early years how she grew up in Dorsten, the town she was born in. Well, most of the places and buildings the author writes about are familiar to me cause I was born and still live in Dorsten as well. When I first heard a few years ago that Cornelia was born in Dorsten I felt kind of proud to live in the same town ;)
I'm looking forward to read the rest of the book :)

Cornelia On the Today Show

Thanks to some Googling randomness, I found this video of a segment Cornelia did with Al Roker a few days ago: Link here

Inkheart/ Tintenherz

The German trailer for Inkheart is released.

Als der Weihnachtsmann vom Himmel fiel

Bought another book by Cornelia Funke yesterday. I wanted this one so bad for a while but honestly... you can't buy a book like this in the summer months. So October is fine for me ^^ Can't wait to read it. It looks and sound so cute :)

Well, yes I also couldn't resist to buy that Simpsons christmas calendar with 32 little doors. Took this pic for my LJ so you have to see Homer, too *g*

Back to Cornelia... that's the book in english language.
When Santa fell to earth

Well, I'll read it soon when christmas is a little closer. Will tell you how I like it :)

Inkdeath has been released today in the USA.
Readers in Europe have to wait a few days longer. It will be released here at 6th October.

I really hope you all enjoy this book. I am German (well, sorry if I am making mistakes as english isn't my mative language ;) ) and the book is available since September 2007. I love it! In my opinion it is the best book from the trilogy :) But enough for now cause I don't want to spoil anyone here.
